Land Subdivisions in the City of Waupaca are subject to City Plan Commission and Common Council approval if the division results in one of the following:

A minor subdivision (commonly called a Certified Survey map CSM)): a division of land resulting in the creation of up to 4 parcels or building sites, any one of which is 4 acres or less in size.

A subdivision: a division of land where the act of division creates 5 or more parcels of building sites of 4 acres each or less in area, or where the act of division creates 5 or more parcels or building sites of 4 acres each or less in area by successive divisions within a 5 year period.

Sale or exchange of parcels of land between owners of adjoining property if additional lots are not thereby created and the ltos resulting are not reduced below the minimum sizes required by these regulations, the Zoning Code or other applicable laws or ordinances and any existing structures meet Zoning Code setback regulations are exempt from the subdivision process.
