Story Walk promotes literacy and physical fitness. The Story Walk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library. All are welcome to take a short hike on the River Ridge Trail and enjoy the children’s book posted along the trail. The story walks in Waupaca are an effort of both the Waupaca Area Public Library and the Waupaca Park & Recreation Department. The story walks can be found at Swan Park and on the River Ridge Trail behind Sunny Day Childcare. For the hike near Sunny Day Child Care, park near Sunny Day on Godfrey Drive and walk down the path that leads between the daycare and the clinic. Swan Park’s Story Walk starts to the south of the sledding hill.
