The City of Waupaca Street Department has an opening for a LABORER. The essential job duties include maintenance and repair of pavement, parkway, and sidewalks. Snow removal, road signage, traffic signals, sanitary and storm sewer maintenance, assist with construction projects, as well as other duties. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent; training and operation of construction equipment and is preferred but not required. Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 6 months of hire, to include endorsements for air brakes, tankers, 26,001 lbs. (ABCDN).
Starting hourly wage will range from $20.50 to $26.00 and will depend on skill, credentials, and experience. Wage increases per year will follow the public works pay scale along with acceptable work performance. Benefits included as described in the city employee handbook.
